Darrius Davon MOORE, 40yoa of 406 Hood Drive, Laurinburg, NC was murdered on 3/15/2022. At approximately 6:00pm, officers responded to Washington Street, Laurinburg, NC reference to a gunshot victim and was then re-routed to the hospital due to the victim being transported by private vehicle. Officers arrived as the victim was being extracted from the vehicle non-responsive and taken inside the hospital by medical personnel. Medical personnel attempted all life saving measures however, MOORE was pronounced deceased.

John Fitzgerald McCoy, 49yoa of 813 S. King Street, Laurinburg, NC was murdered on October 14, 2021 at E. Covington Street and Second Street. At approximately 10:15pm, officers responded to E. Covington Street near Second Street, Laurinburg reference to shots fired into a vehicle. When they arrived, McCoy was located in the drivers seat of a 2013 Nissan Sentra unresponsive. EMS Transported McCoy to Scotland Memorial Hospital where he later died.

At approximately 12:30am, officers responded to Wagram Street, Laurinburg reference to a gunshot victim. When they arrived, Blackmon was located lying in the roadway with an apparent gunshot wound. EMS transported Blackmon to Scotland Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Kyseen Danicia Armstrong, 29yoa of 619 Blue Jean Road, Whiteville, NC was murdered on February 22, 2021 on Cooper Street, Laurinburg, NC. At approximately 6:00pm, officers responded to Cooper Street reference to a gunshot victim. When they arrived, Armstrong was located lying in the yard of a residence with an apparent gunshot wound. EMS transported Armstrong to Scotland Memorial Hospital where he was airlifted to UNC Chapel Hill where he later died of his injuries.

Upon arrival, they located a vehicle in the roadway unoccupied. Deputies began searching the area and located Ellison in the woodline deceased.

At approximately 2:00am, officers responded to the 800 block of Biggs Street reference to a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers located Covington behind a vacant residence near the wood line from an apparent gunshot wound. EMS arrived and Covington was pronounced deceased on scene.

At approximately 9:45pm, officers responded reference to shots fired and located Gibson sitting in the drivers seat of a 2007 Nissan Maxima with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS responded and pronounced Gibson deceased on scene.

EMS arrived and transported Dockery to Scotland Memorial Hospital where he later died on his injuries.

EMS responded and transported Colson to Scotland Memorial Hospital where she later died of her injuries.

Christy Lynn Russell was discovered on or about October 26, 2010. On October 6, 2010, Christy Lynn Russell was reported missing and was last seen at the Laurinburg Bus Terminal Hotel on or about September 29, 2010. On October 26, 2010, officers were notified of a suspicious mound of dirt near the railroad tracks and water tower off of N. Caledonia Road. A body was discovered under the mound of dirt which was later shown to be Christy Lynn Russell who had been murdered and buried.
